The Discovery Program from Virginia

Smith Coleman and Ben VanRoy, Discovery teachers for the Orange County Middle schools of VA arranged a 9 day excursion for 30 students to stay at the preserve, participate in programming and have daily adventure. Activities ranged from camp fire programs, polar bear dipping, sweat lodge, solo vigils, wood carving, blacksmithing, natural fibers, shelters, animal care and many more.
